On June 4, Li Zhongze, Party Secretary and Chairman of China MCC, met with Zhang Sujun, Party Secretary and Chairman of Gansu Provincial Highway Transportation Construction Group, at MCC Tower. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening strategic alignment and advancing practical cooperation. Zhu Guangxia, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of China MCC, accompanied the meeting.
Li Zhongze extended a warm welcome to Zhang Sujun and his team and provided a brief overview of China MCC’s business structure and development trajectory. He noted that China MCC is steadfastly fulfilling its founding mission of "serving the nation through mining and strengthening the country through mining," fully leveraging its integrated advantages across the entire metallurgical and mining construction value chain. This has resulted in strong technological innovation capabilities, industry-leading qualifications, extensive market coverage, a track record of high-quality projects, and robust capacities in mining project investment, construction, and operation. As the province’s largest comprehensive transportation enterprise with the most complete industrial system, Gansu Provincial Highway Transportation Construction Group possesses substantial strength and deep resources, with high business synergy and a solid cooperative foundation with China MCC. Li expressed hope that both parties, building on their existing cooperation, would focus on complementary strengths across the full value chain, improve regular communication mechanisms, accelerate the conversion of cooperation outcomes, and deepen collaboration in areas such as highway transportation, green metallurgy, intelligent construction, urban renewal, and coordinated international expansion. The goal is to jointly create a new paradigm of central-local state-owned enterprise collaboration, industrial chain synergy, and all-around win-win cooperation, thereby elevating high-quality development to new levels through sincere partnership.
Zhang Sujun expressed gratitude for Li Zhongze’s warm reception and highly commended China MCC’s recent developmental achievements. He stated that Gansu Provincial Highway Transportation Construction Group has been firmly following a path of marketization, industrialization, and entity-based development, gradually forming distinctive market advantages. The group is currently expanding into multiple sectors including transportation infrastructure, construction, commerce and logistics, transportation technology, and road-related economy. With China MCC’s comprehensive strength, outstanding professional expertise, and strong development momentum, Zhang hopes that this meeting will serve as an opportunity to promote deeper cooperation in infrastructure, non-ferrous metallurgy, green and low-carbon initiatives, technological innovation, and talent exchange, forging a new chapter of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation across broader and deeper dimensions.
Zhang Wei, Chief Quality Officer of Gansu Provincial Highway Transportation Construction Group, along with Geng Yongwang and Zhang Gangyu, heads of relevant China MCC headquarters departments and subsidiaries, attended the meeting.
