On days around the National Day, China MCC20 Group made new progress in making inroads into Indonesia. On October 8, China MCC20 signed general contract of ferro-nickel smelting project with annual output of 300 thousand tons with Indonesia Weda Bay Nickel Co., Ltd. The project is located in Weda Bay Industrial Park, North Maluku Province, Indonesia. With a contract period of 18 months, the project includes civil engineering, steel structure installation, mechanical and electrical installation, stand-alone machine and subsystem test run, unit start-up and commissioning, and relevant steel structure fabrication and equipment procurement.
On September 30, China MCC20 also won the bid of the construction section of RKEF Phase I (4*33MVA josephinite furnace) project of Qingdao Hengshun Zhongsheng Group Co., Ltd. in Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. For the project, which is located in Sulawesi Tenggara, China MCC20 Indonesia Construction Co., Ltd will undertake the civil engineering, public and auxiliary utilities, and other work of four RKEF ferro-nickel smelting production lines, with main buildings (structures) including: dry kiln, rotary kiln foundation, electric furnace, foundation of main power building, grading station, transfer point, foundation of dust removal system, coal mill foundation, foundation of circulation cooling water, equipment foundation, concrete trench and pool, and others. The project duration (including mechanical and electrical installation) is 18 months.
The signing and bid-winning of the above-mentioned projects will lay a solid foundation for China MCC20 to expand and consolidate its presence in Indonesia.
