On December 30th, 2017, the MCC19 Group won the bidding for the Peru Shougang New Area Extension Project’s Area 7 High Compression Rolling Workshop Installation Project.
The Peru Shougang New Area Extension Project is intended to exploit iron producing areas No. 14 and 21. Including auxiliary facilities, the ‘dressing plant’ and the construction of a tailing thickening and transport system, it is divided into two phases. Phase I exploits mining area No. 14 and involves the construction of a raw ore production line, while Phase II exploits mining area No. 21 and involves the construction of an oxidized ore production line. Upon completion of the extension project, the annual capacity of the Shougang Peru Iron Mine will increase to 10 million tons of fine iron ore. MCC19’s bid-winning section mainly involves the installation works of the high compression rolling workshop, including the installation of steel structure, electrical equipment, pipelines and other works, with a planned work period of 4 months. This is MCC19’s second project in the Peru Shougang New Area Extension Project following the Filter Workshop Installation Project.
