On May 9th, MCC WSGRI won the bidding for the Hengyi (Brunei) PMB Petrochemical Pile Foundation Project.
This is a proposed integration project involving 10 million tons of oil refining and chemical engineering and a node in the national ‘the Belt and Road’ strategy. Located in Pulau Muara Besar, Brunei, it has a total investment amount of about USD 4.292 billion and involves an 8 million t/y normal pressure device, 2.2 million t/y diesel hydrogenation unit, 1.3 million t/y jet fuel hydrogenation unit and 1 million t/y flexicoker, as well as auxiliary public projects including the dock, tank field and desalination equipment. MCC WSGRI won the bidding for the pit foundations of the tank field. It will adopt two types of high-intensity prestressed pile: PHC500AB (100) and PHC400AB (95). The piles have an individual length of about 30 m and a total length of about 700,000 linear meters.
