To celebrate the New Year of 2018 and present the new times and atmosphere, CCTV2 will broadcast the special program New Year, New World on December 31st (20:00 p.m. on December 31st, 2017 to 0:40 a.m. on January 1st, 2018). As an important part of this program, CCTV will report on four domestic and foreign projects with great significance and major influence selected from among over 3,000 films sent by the State-owned Assets System (each film is about 5 minutes in length). With the MCC Group Party Committee Publicity Department’s positive communication and careful recommendation and planning, the MCC Malaysia W Hotel Project was successfully selected to express New Year greetings to domestic and foreign audiences, along with the Antarctic Science Investigation Project, Addis Ababa - Djibouti Railway and Egypt Major Project. The report on the MCC Group’s Malaysia Kuala Lumpur W Hotel will be broadcast at around 10:20 p.m. on December 31st.
Located in the core area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the W Hotel Project stands near the world-famous landmark Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers. It is an important benchmark project built by the MCC Group to positively promote the ‘Belt and Road’ strategy in countries along its route. Contracted by MCC Overseas’ Malaysia Company and undertaken by the MCC3 Group, it is an architectural complex consisting of a famous five-star hotel and high-end service apartment building with a total height of 235 m. This is the MCC Group’s first super high-rise building of over 200 m in height undertaken abroad. On June 15th, 2017, MCC Overseas won another bidding for the Kuala Lumpur Kempinski Hotel General Contracting Project developed by the Malaysian KSK Group. Upon completion, this project will set a new height record among buildings undertaken by the MCC Group in the general contracting mode abroad, become a new Malaysian landmark, manifest the MCC brand’s strength in the Malaysian architecture market and start a new situation for the Group in the ‘Belt and Road’ market.
