On May 10th, MCC Group Deputy Party Secretary and President Zhang Mengxing met with Honeywell President Darius Adamczy and others. Both sides held deep talks concerning further cooperation on urban comprehensive pipe galleries, smart city technology, theme parks, public engineering and other fields, and eventually reached a consensus.
Zhang Mengxing warmly welcomed President Darius Adamczy and his delegation to MCC and briefly introduced the historical evolution and development situation of the MCC Group. He pointed out that in recent years, as the largest and strongest construction contractor of metallurgy engineering and operating service provider of metallurgy enterprises, the MCC Group has succeeded in transformation and devoted itself to being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term’. Urban infrastructure, rail transit, high-end housing construction, underground comprehensive pipe galleries, theme park and other fields have become MCC’s main businesses and strengths. Especially in the comprehensive pipe gallery field, MCC took the lead in establishing a comprehensive pipe gallery technology research institute, the first professional pipe gallery company and the first 100 billion-level urban comprehensive pipe gallery industrial fund, and has become the leading all-round urban construction solution expert in China. The Hengqin Underground Comprehensive Pipe Gallery Project, designed and constructed by the MCC Group, has the largest scale, the highest one-off investment amount, the longest construction period, the widest covered area and the most complete system in China at present. MCC’s overall of comprehensive pipe gallery construction length reached 600 km in 2016, and the Group was evaluated as No. 1 for overall length and individual achievement by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the industry at large. MCC has established the first domestic fabricated steel gallery and concrete pipe gallery bases in Hengshui, and completed the construction of the first domestic fabricated steel pipe gallery demonstration section, successfully solving such fabricated steel pipe gallery problems as rust-proofing, fire-proofing, seepage-proofing, longevity, etc., and decreasing the cost and construction period of pipe gallery projects by 40% and 60% respectively.

The complementarity of both sides is very strong. He hopes that they will further deepen their coordination in urban comprehensive pipe galleries, smart city technology, theme parks, public engineering and other broader fields on the basis of their previous cooperation, establish a daily linkage mechanism and assign special persons to communicate, thereby realizing complementary advantages, mutual benefits and joint development.
