On December 28th, 2016, MCC Vice President Qu Yang paid an official visit to Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Acting Mayor You Mengjun in Fuzhou City. Both sides deeply exchanged their opinions on further strengthening cooperation in such fields as large infrastructure construction and area development.
Qu Yang expressed his gratitude for the long-term strong support that the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government that offered MCC Group. He hopes that both sides will further enhance their cooperation and exchange and promote mutual win-win results. Qu Yang pointed out that the effects of the scale and synergy of such businesses as resource development, bulk commodity trade and circulation, engineering construction and real estate development are gradually showing following the strategic recombination of China Minmetals and MCC Group. The new China Minmetals pays more attention to its leading role in the fields of engineering investigation, design, construction, operation, technology, high-end equipment and informatization, and expects to be able to fuse with the urban construction of Fuzhou and contribute the wisdom and sweat of MCC people to the city.
You Mengjun reviewed the long-term friendly cooperation history between MCC Group and Fujian Province, and expressed gratitude for the contributions that it has made to Fuzhou City and Fujian Province at large. He then pointed out that as a strategic supporting point city in the core zone of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Fuzhou is accelerating the promotion of its urban ‘advance eastwards, head downwards, follow the river and face the ocean" development plan. A host of opportunities and huge potential are contained in the construction of Binhai New Area and infrastructure. He hopes that MCC Group will actively give full play to its own advantages in emerging industries, participate in Fuzhou's construction more actively and realize win-win results and the development of both sides.
During the visit to Fuzhou, Qu Yang also held talks with Fuzhou Standing Committee Member and Gulou District Committee Secretary Xue Kan. He briefly introduced the historic evolution and current situation of development of MCC Group, analyzed MCC Group's strategic positioning of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term’, and recommended MCC Group's strengths in such emerging industries as urban comprehensive pipe galleries, sponge city and smart city technology, health preservation and water environment treatment.
Xue Kan appreciated the contributions made by MCC Group in the construction of such projects as the urban ecological footpath in Gulou District. He hopes that MCC Group will contribute classic masterpieces in projects including protective development, ecological promotion and the transformation of people's livelihood in the historical zone of Gulou District.
