On February 13, Zeng Jianzhong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of MCC Group and China MCC, visited Daxing Base of Central Research Institute of Building and Construction Co., Ltd. MCC Group to inspect the National Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection for Iron&Steel Industry, hear special report on the reorganization and construction of the National Key Laboratory, and inspect on site. He fully affirmed the achievements made by the National Key Laboratory in the reorganization and optimization, and put forward specific requirements for next work.
He emphasized that we must enhance political awareness, actively implement Comrade Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, and deeply understand the significance of building the National Key Laboratory; we must strengthen the research and development of basic and cutting-edge technologies, and strive to become a leader in original and leading technologies for iron&steel environmental protection; we must enhance collaborative innovation in production, education and research among domestic and overseas research institutes, universities, enterprises, and design units within the Company, further improve the efficiency of applying and transforming results, and promote further integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation; we must establish and improve systems and mechanisms, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the efficient operation and standardized management of the Laboratory; we must intensify the introduction and cultivation of high-end scientific research talents, injecting vitality into the sustainable development of the Laboratory; we must strengthen the guidance of Party building and the construction of a clean and upright Party culture, promoting the further integration of Party building work into scientific and technological innovation, and ensuring self-reliance and self-improvement in high-level science and technology under the guidance of high-quality Party building.
